Silverlight Web Pages
Silverlight is MicroSofts technology for providing Rich Interactive content on the Web . Typically used for high-speed video streaming ( eg US Presidential Inauguration , Bejing Olympics etc )and in this regard is often referred to as the Flash-killer
However , it also provides very powerful methods to connect Web pages to back-end data-bases .
A Silverlight application is a self contained XAP file and so it is very well suited to " dropping in " interactive content to existing web sites simply by providing a place-holder on the Web page .
